Unfortunately my delivery specialists in CA and FL don't bother calling me at all. I am the one that found out that my VIN number is already available last Monday. Not impressed with the service at all. When I obtained my VIN number, I was told last week that my car will be in production line this week. I decided to call this morning just to find out how the process is going on. I was very much surprised to find out that my car is on the way to Florida since yesterday and will be delivered this Saturday. I was happy but very sad that nobody informed me until I called them. At least now I know where the car is and hope that my pick up experience will be better than customers service/ delivery specialist service in California. My VIN 9177 Red Black P85. There was another gentleman BlkCld expecting a car approximately at the same time. Hope to meet you there.

Congratulations!

Thanks, following in your footsteps:)

To reach Rockville, I have to take a Amtrak train from Baltimore to Union Station D.C., the DC Metro to Rockville, then a cab to the Service Center. But it will be well worth the trouble, as the drive home is about 60 miles on a variety of roads that will make for a great first drive.

There were 4 Reds all different configs at the Seattle Service Center today. Here are the VIN#s 9210, 9065, 9024 and 8399. Glad to see so many Reds and they all look gorgeous.

#9024 is ours! Was very excited to hear it was already "in town".

Here is another pic of it: I know others were interested in seeing the grey wheels:

If I was in town I would offer to pick you up in DC and take you to Rockville. I'd love a chance to see the red in person while I wait :)

That looks sweet! I opted for the 21" silvers because I wasn't sure what the grey wheels would look like with the new red, but it looks good!

Congrats xhawk! Looks awesome!

And congrats bperry! Interesting that your vin is 4 digits after mine and I was told today that mine just finished production and would be loading a truck in the next couple days. I guess the vins can complete at different times based on how they batch them... Suspense is so tough! At least my countdown is now hopefully single digit days.

Enjoy guys and keep the pics coming! That is the only thing sustaining the rest of our waits at this point!

Based on my analysis there can be a delay between cars with sequential VIN's that can be measured in weeks at times. In late March Tesla jumped production ahead by ~1,000 VIN's (from the mid 7k's to the mid 8k's), then jumped back and filled in. Presumably the switchover to Multi-Red production at the beginning of April had something to do with this, but clearly batching means you can't look at sequential VIN's and expect them to come off the line at the same time.

The VIN's are likely stamped sequentially when the chassis is built, and the rest of the car is bolted on later depending on the needs of batching.

Hi, I haven't heard anything either yet. Only what I gained by asking at the SC last week. Last I was told it was to be completed today. I guess we shall see. I'll have to swing by the next few days and see if anything shows up. Mark

Is that my car?!

I'm 8399... Is that mine in the center? I'm not scheduled for pick-up until Saturday at 1pm. That wait was bad enough, but now that I know my car is in town I may not be able to stand it!

Oops, that's an ugly quote... The editor was very slow and I must have snipped the ending bracket.

Congrats!!. you can call the service center and schedule an earlier pick up I guess. BPerry did the same. :)

Well, add another week to my timeline. It turns out that the end of line date represents the week the car will be built, not the date by which the car will be complete. My EOL date is 4/29. But this means the car may not be done until 5/6.

I hope you're not offended but I laughed when I read this. It's a laugh of shared pain having gone through this process with everyone on this thread.
