Has anybody started exploring how to get consumption or regen information data from the vehicle? A really crude approach would be to attach a video camera to the vehicle, record the data to an SD card, and then write or use some image analysis tools to extract the data from the video recording.

Perhaps some of the OVMS folks have started exploring the Model S by now?

In lieu of that, has anybody started constructing an overly optimistic model that guesstimates the regen and consumption based on the speed and G forces? (Overly optimistic as it's simplifying to assume that no traditional braking is being applied until/unless regen has already been maxed.)
