Tracking P85D delivery thread

Hey everyone. I realized that the thread view is not particularly useful as a tracking mechanism. As data updates, people have to go back and edit their posts, and we might not see the changes. Plus it doesn't give us an easy to see what's going on from a high-level (are there certain options that are delayed?). I've gone ahead and created this google docs spreadsheet. Feel free to edit to add your own information.

I'm allergic to driving in NoVA and stalking the Glen Allen supercharger has not shown me a grey interior yet. I may have to plan a roadtrip, but I'm really busy right now. Leaning grey. I think. Maybe.

I know someone with grey on a silver car and he likes it. Personally I find it a bit drab. Color is really a personal thing. I do know it's the least popular color, which could be a good thing.

Thanks for making the doc, Andrew. I've added my order to the list.

My "Delivery Experience Specialist" from the Freemont factory e-mailed yesterday to update my delivery window: December 10[SUP]th[/SUP] – December 24[SUP]th[/SUP]

"end of line" vs "delivery" date

Love your spreadsheet. I now know when my P85D will clear manufacturing (the "end of line" date) although the actual delivery date is unknown, mostly due to truck schedules and the like. I'm a little edgy about putting the EOL date in the "scheduled" column. How do you feel about adding a column for EOL? My sales rep was able to look up the EOL date right now, although she was (understandably) quite reluctant to speculate on delivery date.

Added.

So I'm still the only one doing Obeche gloss. Everyone else with Obeche is going matte. Is there something I don't know?

Got my PEOL date (Planned end of line date), along with an explanation from my DS:

"While it may seem confusing, the PEOL date is the week in which your Model S is scheduled to go into production, not the date on which your Model S has completed production."

Nicely done -- I watched you drop that new column in and was then able to add my EOL date -- 11/28/2014. Gonna have me a Tesla b4 Christmas I bet.

Easily before Christmas. Btw, just curious, so far you're the only one who hasn't ordered the next gen seats. Do you not like them, or just trying to save a few $?

I'm doing MC Red/Gray/Obeche Gloss, Andrew. But mine will be an S85D.

Whew :) I've looked at a bunch of pictures and saw it in person and like it a lot. The only thought I had was that maybe it was too reflective? Sun glare, etc. So are you letting the Sig go?

Keeping the Sig until the time comes to make a final decision on the X. Marcia will enjoy having an S to drive in the meantime. I always said I thought the S with AWD would be preferable to the X; I remain open to being convinced otherwise.

I'm viewing this car as a hot-rod shooting brake more than a track car, so the number of times it's likely to generate really-high lateral G-forces can probably be counted on one hand. Conversely, it's gonna be hauling a lotta stuff as the daily driver and I'm a little skeptical that the new seats will fold as flat as the old ones -- they look a lot taller but they also look like they're hinged in the same place (that could be complete baloney). I also don't like the way they appear to block rear vision (which also could be complete baloney). Money also factored in -- taking the tires down to 19" and downgrading the seats took roughly $7k worth of features I don't need/want off the price of the car.
