My story on the next-gen seat delivery is so bizarre that I had to share. I took delivery on 12/31 in Denver. We relocated to Northern California shortly after that. Not wanting the seats to go to Denver I contacted my "delivery specialist" in March advising him of the situation. This went unanswered which was typical for him. Next I called Tesla and asked that the seats be delivered to Fremont so that I could have them installed near my house.

May 14 I received a call from the Denver service center to let me know they had my next-gen seats and wanted to schedule the install. I told her about the situation and my attempts to prevent the seats going to Colorado. She apologized and said she would ship them to the Fremont service center and that I should expect a call from them to schedule the install. Not hearing anything yet, I called Fremont SC yesterday. After a lot of detective work on their part they found out that my seats were shipped to the factory in Fremont not the service center. So now they are going to try and find them since they are "linked" to my VIN and cannot be replaced with another set. If you've been to the factory you know how big it is. This will be the proverbial needle in the haystack search. So I am waiting...:cursing: Pretty amazing, eh?

I received a call this morning that my seats had been found in the parts department - go figure. I'm scheduled to have them installed next week. Hopefully there will not be any more surprises.
 
I received an email from Jerome Guillen re: the seats.
He said the seats are available for me now... I hadn't contacted him so it's curious that he, rather than the service center, emailed me.

So I've emailed the SC and hope to get that (and a couple of little things) take care of soon.

Finally got mine installed on 6/26/15 (had to call multiple times!). Then, the day they were supposed to pick up my car, they said it wasn't on their schedule, but they did come and get it.
