Just called Tesla to see where my Next Gen seats are. Some how, no one at the factory recorded what seats were in my delivered car and the Delivery person did not fill out a request for the seats. If you are expecting replacement seats, and haven't been contacted you may need to contact Tesla to see where the problem is. All Next Gen seats are to be replaced before months end!!

That's good information, but not 100% accurate.

I have been contacted about my replacements, but the earliest my SC can install them is June 15. I'm still waiting to hear back with respect to what date they are going to do it. All I'm saying is that I don't think the "to be replaced before month's end" is a hard and fast rule.

Maybe they meant that from the factory's point of view all seats will be delivered to the appropriate service center by months end. When they call me back, I will ask for clarification. They have no control over the work load at the service center. Costa Mesa is always super busy. Luckily, I have an open service appointment for June 9th for a different issue.

Yes, I expect that is probably what they meant.

I was just clarifying for any concerned people who don't have their seats yet.

Must Be the End of the Month Rush to get them all in before the "End of May" deadline. Got my Car on Dec 27th. Seats installed today.

You are lucky. I am still waiting and was told they have no idea when my seats are coming. I took delivery on Dec 27th.

You and me both Osama... Except I got my car a week after you.

I suspect you will both get them soon. The three of us received our cars about the same time. My next gen seats were just installed Wednesday (27th)

My story on the next-gen seat delivery is so bizarre that I had to share. I took delivery on 12/31 in Denver. We relocated to Northern California shortly after that. Not wanting the seats to go to Denver I contacted my "delivery specialist" in March advising him of the situation. This went unanswered which was typical for him. Next I called Tesla and asked that the seats be delivered to Fremont so that I could have them installed near my house.

May 14 I received a call from the Denver service center to let me know they had my next-gen seats and wanted to schedule the install. I told her about the situation and my attempts to prevent the seats going to Colorado. She apologized and said she would ship them to the Fremont service center and that I should expect a call from them to schedule the install. Not hearing anything yet, I called Fremont SC yesterday. After a lot of detective work on their part they found out that my seats were shipped to the factory in Fremont not the service center. So now they are going to try and find them since they are "linked" to my VIN and cannot be replaced with another set. If you've been to the factory you know how big it is. This will be the proverbial needle in the haystack search. So I am waiting...:cursing: Pretty amazing, eh?

Had my car in the service center to get the new seats today, but even after several confirmations that they had both front and back seats it turned out they only had the fronts:( so now I have nextgen fronts and a new wait awaits for the rear seats:(
