guys.

I ****ed up.

I love my tesla so much. So much ive realized I made a huge mistake.

What is my likely bit going to be switching from a blue model 3 sr+ with 19” rims and fsd to a black model 3 long range awd with the standard rims without fsd (which I would buy later).

The car has about 1200 miles on it and I’ve had it for about three weeks.

Wot u fink?

We struggled and had the same dilemma with exact color and configuration. Ended up taking delivery 25 May of the Blue LR AWD, 18” wheels, no FSD and have not looked back.

Let me be clear: I am happy. Being the owner of a awd or would make me more happy.

Do you think it’s going to cost me more than 5k or 10k (beyond the extra 3-4K it would cost if I done good the first time)

Why? Do you need more range?

It’s not because I need it. I’m think about how cool it would be to go from 0-60 in 3.4(9)? seconds. I don’t plan on driving in the snow, but isn’t awd better for it I do? o_o. Plus, what about that sound system man? The sr+ plus sounds almost as good as my infinities in my 06 ranger i was driving before I got my tesla but imagine the gains?!... plus, why I don’t always have backset guests, but when I do, I’d like to have them be able to warm their asses!?

I drove to Charlestown Casino last weekend and while it was outside the range of the sr+ the super charging was fast and easy. I got more range than I needed by the time I needed to leave...

Not sure what your reading, AWD is 4.4s
Talk to a few delivery centers and maybe they can find a demo for you. They might deal now that it is near end of quarter. Normally I’d guess we’ll over $5k (loss). But with Tesla you never know what they might do. Also won’t hurt to ask if they could transfer FSD. I don't think they will. FSD on trade to them has no value. Difference in base car is $10k. And if it is a demo maybe they would swap wheels too. So you are probably talking at least $15k out of pocket.

If it’s for accel only I wouldn’t do it. And I’d only get AWD if you need AWD for weather.

Unless you have an immediate need for the range or have more money than things to do with it, why not wait a few years for Tesla to make some meaningful improvements to the Model 3? That way, at least you won't lose another $5k to $10k in depreciation if you get buyer's regret a few years down the line.
This is EXACTLY where I am at. Pay on this SR+ for 2-3 years then step up to the next level. I don’t need the range, and I don’t need the performance. But it would be nice. My next 3 will be awd or performance

I get you! I have the SR+ and I think it is a great value. The only potential regret that I can now think of for not buying a more expensive Model 3 is the even quicker acceleration of Dual Motor and the better sound system.

Streaming radio/Sound system is one of my most favorite things about my car. (LR AWD- EAP) It's right after the Acceleration, and right before the smell......

I want to be buried in this car.. and I've always told my family to NEVER BURY ME because I'm claustrophobic. I could handle being dead in My 3.

I know right? If I had to choose between my house, my lady friend, or my tesla... you know who I would choose.
