Hey everyone, tried finding this info online but couldn’t. I know you can trade active leased cars (Honda to Toyota etc) but can you do that with an actively leases Tesla also? Say active lease Tesla to Honda etc? Thanks!

Model 3/Y leases do not have a buyout or trade provision, you can return the car to Tesla and pay any early termination fees (which at the moment are very high due to the price cuts, you can check this in the Tesla App), or transfer your lease to another person (not a dealer in the scenario you described).

Upside of the latter option, no fees, just $650 for some admin costs, downside? Apparently the process is pretty terrible, with some people waiting for MONTHS to get the final paperwork.
