The buy local thing is much stronger in BC than anywhere else in Canada.

That's because you can get fresh produce year 'round. Around here 8 months of the year our crops are under snow. What is grown is wheat, mustard seed, canola, rye, hay, lentils, etc. Not exactly locavore fare.

Yeah. I think it's also part of the local identity as well. Quebecois are the most distinct Canadians, followed closely by British Columbians imo,
