Just picked up a Model Y-Our 4th Tesla (2013 Model S 85 (sold),2016 Model X 90D, 2018 Model LR Model 3 (sold),. On all previous cars traffic congestion would be color coded on the screen. Doesn't happen with the new Y. (Autopilot-no FSD). Is this a software issue or not supported anymore?

Related topic, has anyone noticed inaccuracies in the traffic data? During my test drive, the map showed a lot of congestion where there was none. Still waiting for a delivery date for my MY.

Was it near an intersection? I’ve been wondering about accuracy as well, coming from Waze I understand there can be a lag. During our test drive there was always traffic shown around intersections with red lights but found little to none. Wondered about non-intersection traffic reports but didn’t encounter any.

mine almost always shows congestion at intersections, no matter where it is or how busy it is.

it does seem fairly accurate on stretches of interstate/highway though

There were intersections, and the Inaccurate volume depiction persisted through a stretch of VA Route 123. Perhaps the algorithm is using some historical data from pre-COVID?

Goodness I’d hope not, that would be 6 months old at this point. Which makes me wonder what the source of that data is? Google?

Tesla used to have a subscription to a traffic service, but now they only use traffic data from other Teslas. Not enough cars on the road for it to be accurate. Not a great solution if you ask me.

I heard this as well. At some point internal data may be effective, but right now it doesn’t appear to be.
