Triangular hole in left rear interior cargo area of Y?

I just noticed this triangular hole in the left rear part of the cargo area on my Model Y.
Is it supposed to be this way or should it have a plug or cap to cover it?
Does it have a purpose?

Hmm, I'll have to check the manual a bit more closely. I did not find anything on my first look.

There is a plastic ring connected to a cable that will unlock the charging part that is accessible from that opening.

There are bag hooks on Amazon that snap perfectly into that space. They are removable if you ever need to get to the manual charge port release.
