Those seats looks so inviting... and the doors look elegant and "normal", worthy of the car. The current Model S interior seems to have put thematic consistency over all else. The spare, austere look of the seats and doors matches the spare, austere look of the dash. Personally, I'd take comfy and beautiful over consistent.
Everything else about the interior looks like a huge improvement from the prototype, in both form and function. What's most remarkable about the exterior is how little it changed. For whatever reason, most auto makers are unable to preserve the beauty of a concept car. Kudos to Tesla for pulling it off.
