New to the Tesla world and was wondering people's thoughts, recommendations, etc. on the different trip/route planning options out there. So far, I'm aware of on the web, the EVTO app on my iPhone, and the Nav/Maps that come standard on my S. I also see a bunch of other apps available in the App Store. I'm sure there are others.

I realize each developer has worked hard to come up with a quality product but I'm wondering more from end-user experience, have you found any particular product to be easier to use, more accurate, etc. Do you have a preference? Any and all feedback and thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

I find Waze is my goto app when the Tesla maps isn't enough. Why is traffic backed up? Check Waze. I don't know of an app that makes deciphering the remaining mileage when driving easier than just the on-screen map. Seems like it gets better with time as it learns the car and you. And you get better at knowing what's going on.

For planning when not in the car and when I don’t want to use a PC, I love EVTO as it lets me figure out stops at Superchargers and how much charge I’ll have at the end of a trip. It also has a nifty feature where you can allow for x miles of ‘local travel’ at stops. It’s a bit complex but has a lot of online help. Definitely recommended. I know you had it on your list but it’s an app that takes a little work to get the most out of.

Besides that, all I use from the Tesla POV is the Tesla nav for actually routing to a Supercharger.

For real nav, I still use google maps the most.
