Hi to all We are meeting at the Pima Air Museum on March 3, 10AM, east parking area. We will have photo ops before we head into the museum. Bring comfortable shoes, as there are now 5 large hangers, a separate B-17 memorial hanger, and about 80 acres to wander. Tour the museum until ~12:30, then meet at the grill for lunch. We can go in small groups or individually. There are docents to guide you around the museum. You can stay until 5:00PM. The Boneyard is not accessible on weekends. Hi to all We had more than 30 people at the Pima Air Museum, with 17 cars. Thanks to Benedetta Machado for the evite efforts and tracking responses for us. Thanks also to Rolf and Martina for covering the group rate entry, and for filming the visit. They will post the video on www.teslaowners.us. People wandered the grounds, then we met on the patio for lunch. The museum is growing again, with a number of new planes on display, and preparation for additional planes in progress outside. Many thanks to the Grill staff for setting up the patio for us. We were also entertained by the US Air Force, with almost 3 hours of fly-overs! F-16, F-35, P-51 Mustangs and a P-38, flying in formations, acrobatics, chases, really amazing displays. The F-35 was doing "straight- up climbs", flat spins, amazing dives, and keeping everyone staring up at the sky. The F-16 did a lot of upside-down flying, too. My pictures are not great- the planes were moving too fast. If anyone has a good shot or two, send them to me and i will put them here on our TMC group site under MEDIA, Trip to Pima Air Museum.
It was a nice gathering - thanks to Benedetta Machado for organizing it. And thanks to Rolf and Martina for enabling the group rate.
