I have always been annoyed by the EPA sanctioned "MPGe," since it encourages people to inappropriately compare ICE and EVs in terms that do not make sense. Then while playing with arithmetic on my drive home this morning I realized that MPGe * 3 is a very close approximation to miles/per 100 kWh; or if one prefers, division of the result by 100 gives miles/kWh.

    THAT number is useful.
