I've noticed some people have a cool profile picture of their car. I've tried to upload mine. Though it shows up in settings under "Your Current Profile Picture", it doesn't show up under my name when I post. What's the issue?
Profile picture shows up on your profile page. Avatar shows up next to your posts. Don't ask me why they're different.
Because people like having cute avatars next to their posts, but they may also want to have a real photo on their profile page if people want to see what they look like. I had the same problem when I first joined the forum.
Hi doug, I am new to the forum. I'm unable to add a profile picture. Is there a "test period" for newbies on the forum... or must we make X number of posts before some features are available to us? Also, how does one add the "signature" info (to our pofile?) that becomes added to the bottom of posts... most people list their Model S configuration. Thanks, Bob
hi, probably a silly question, but how do i post a profile pic? searched around and can't find anything. Thank you.
It's possible that it is restricted until you have more posts. I believe you have the ability to edit your avatar once you have 5 posts but it could be a slightly higher number, such as 10.
I've been lurking for years, I didn't actually register on the forums until late 2014, and didn't really start posting until just recently. What I've found is that you need a minimum amount of posts to be able to add/edit your avatar.
I dont have the option either. Maybe the magic number is 10 post before the option appears. (5 didnt do it)
Maybe I need 10 posts. Seems to have worked after 12 posts, but maybe more of a time issue (i.e. after 6 hrs it worked )
