Trouble adding a profile picture.

probably is a gif renamed to jpg and uploaded. the browser will generally parse gifs even though they're named jpg.

Why are you all so sure the Avatar looked at you? Maybe it's in an alternate universe and sees something else, and so we are looking at it, but it is looking somewhere else. Just saying.

Isnt it weird that most of the negative posts are from people who dont actually have a model x? Its so easy to tell trolls from real owners.

Funny!

First off, people here have negative opinions of the new Bolt, or the Mirai or a number of other cars and don't own them, and that is not weird at all.

Second, I find it weird that people can actually tell what a person has or had in their garage just based on a post. Amazing!

The reason we have limited permissions on new accounts is to prevent spammers (such as this account) from being able to use the use the avatar and signature to advertise. Busted.

Cannot you just limit first posts until someone has looked? I proof read all first posts on several groups that I host and it is obnoxious for new users just once and then they are members, while those who post crap just never see their posts. #5

For this there is no information for users that are actually trying to use the forum correctly and the only option is to get help. The interface should be changed so the option is there but when you select it the message comes up explaining "option limited for new users". This way we would go back to using the board and patiently wait for a status other than new. #7

I've been lurking for years, I didn't actually register on the forums until late 2014, and didn't really start posting until just recently. What I've found is that you need a minimum amount of posts to be able to add/edit your avatar.

maybe we could use this thread to make it to 12 posts. Why in the world would the forum software only allow avatars after 12 posts?!? I understand one or two posts, but 12?!?

Thanks for the information. Interesting that they limit newbies to creation of an avatar. If you own a TESLA it should be immediate. Perhaps if you place your VIN in the profile it should open up access to the avatar and signature.
