Trouble with auto drive

I have 2018 Modle 3 that has basic auto drive and owned it for six months. Love the car. I travel interstates a lot and use the auto drive and cruise control . My hands are alway on t the steering wheel and the “ hands on steering wheel” alarm comes on regularly. I get locked out of the auto drive regularly. Is there a know problem or can I get an update the will correct the problem?

Hands on the steering wheel is not enough to satisfy the autopilot that you are alert and ready to take over at any moment. You need to apply a little torque to the steering wheel. It doesn’t need much, just a little turning pressure one way or the other.
