How to get Trump to stay in the Paris Climate Accord

Quick, get one or more environmental protection groups to give him a medal. It doesn’t matter what it’s actually for (maybe the “Global Citizen Award”, or “I am a Parisian Award”), as long as it’s shiny gold and has his name on it.

As he's prone to reward flattery, this could be the most effective means of preventing a huge mistake.

Millions will die as a result of this. Anybody know off the top of their head what the required body count is to reach the Pantheon of mass murderers? Mass murder generally has consequences, unless it's in the cause of making America Great again. :(

America as a collective is a fairly violent and exploitation-based society. Donald Trump is merely a symptom of the truth.

If Trump quits Paris, neither his decision nor climate change will go away. Although he's on the wrong side, Trump is probably drawing more attention to climate issues than anyone else could. Trump doesn't care, but what he's wished for may have unintended consequences. We'll continue to see more media coverage on climate change, only heightening public awareness and increasing activism, helping to provide a necessary antidote.

No area has done more to clean up the air than in SoCal. California requirements drove the auto industry to clean-up the air quality from ICE vehicles. Everyone has benefited. America has the ability to continue this progress on its own.
Yes, we have the ability. However, Trump and the Pruitt EPA are already gutting the federal requirements. And, they are trying to neuter California's ability to have more stringent requirements. This administration is anti environment, pure and simple.

Anti-environment under the falsehood of removing draconian regulations that supposedly make it harder to do business in America and kills jobs.

The whole environmental and renewable energy push in society has too much momentum. Trump can try to fight to keep his electoral proponents in West Virginia and other red states happy, but it will hardly change anything. The ball will keep on rolling.

Coal is dead as a source of electricity generation, no matter how hard Trump, the GOP, and the coal miners desire. Electricity utilities are switch to natural gas and renewables because its cheaper, and still going down in price. The individual consumer is buying rooftop solar because it increases their home equity and slashes their power bill. Most newly built high-end homes here in California have solar arrays; some of them will be using Tesla's solar roof tiles when production gets underway. Even faster charging standards rolling out through the next 5-10 years solves the only major issue with EVs left - charge time. Automakers who make EVs and price them similar to ICE counterparts will struggle satisfying demand.

The world worships the almighty dollar. The dollar is sprinting towards renewables.
