Trunk button on touchscreen grayed out!

last week, this worked fine (opening trunk from inside the car on touchscreen) but the past few days the trunk button is grayed out, and cant open it....how do i fix this?

Make sure your vehicle is in Park. It's grayed out in drive or reverse.

Valet mode also prevents the trunk/frunk from opening.

Is it trunk too? I thought it was only frunk.
