Trunk disassembly / modifications / sound dampening

Has anyone taken apart their trunk in order to add a subwoofer and/or sound dampening material?
My UHFS subwoofer sounds very boomy and I’m considering adding some sound dampening material. There appears to be some sound proofing already underneath the carpet. Additionally there is some type of ducting for HVAC. Is there any trick to getting at the sheet metal? Am I going to regret messing with it?
Any experience with either replacing the Tesla sub or adding a larger sub into the space? Recommendations and warnings would be appreciated!

I what's up I'm wanting to add a pro comp 10-in Orion sub and my concern is actually if it's safe to have that much Flex in a Tesla with the electronic components I'm going to add a second possibly a third battery with capacitor and a 4000 watt sub have you heard of any issues like that
