Trunk light not turning on

I’m pretty sure there is something wrong with my trunk light on my Model Y I just took delivery on. But before I open a service request, I just wanted to make sure it’s not me. Done lights and other interior lights turn on. But I have yet to see the trunk light go on. Any thoughts?

You have to open the trunk (hatch) before the trunk light will come on. There is also a light in the front trunk (frunk) storage bin.

Hatch is open and light is not on. The light in the frunk is fine, as are all the other interior lights.

The light in the trunk was probably never connected. Open a Service Request in the Tesla App. Tesla will probably send a Ranger (Mobile Service Technician) to fix the light. Be sure to make a list of things that you'd want Tesla to correct to put in the service request. Do this as soon as possible.
