Has anyone got those frunk / trunk openers?

How ared they?

How much noise do they make?

I saw a video of it and there was a horrendous screaching noise. I was going to get them installed but after seeing that video I cancelled.

Well, that's just unacceptable.

I removed the beeper after installation, so all I hear is a pleasant opening-strut sound. No screeching here.

Thanks for the responses. I thought perhaps someone ( who for some unknown reason ) might have added the screeching in.

Don't know why they would do that.

I have the TeslaOffer trunk opener and it is great. TeslaOffer frunk kit is on the way. Do some research on comparison between the 2 brands and pick the one that has the features you like. I've also done a bit of a write up comparing the two for my purchase decision. There is also a French YouTube video comparing the two brands and if you don't parlez francais, turn on close caption and do auto-translate to get English subtitles. Good video from an independent 3rd party who actually interviews reps from both companies and scores the two. Ignore the video's comments and scoring about CAN connection since Hansshow recently decided to follow TeslaOffer to incorporate that feature into the kit. The beepers are a bit loud but at the same time good for confirming what's going on. An alternative to disconnecting it is to wrap it with some electrical tape to mellow out the sound.

Yes, they are not inexpensive but for me a worthwhile upgrade.

I pick up our groceries and the people who put them in the trunk tend to slam the lid. I've heard it bends easy so I'm concerned about that.

Yup, I use my frunk a lot more now that I don't have to close it by hand.
