Finally upgraded to a refresh Model S last month, and I have to say, while I got used to the much smaller frunk, the trunk is what's been giving me the most grief.
I ship a lot, and often will bring packages to UPS, USPS etc. The trunk on this Model S (and all newer ones?) opens MUCH slower than my old one (2012). It seems to start fine then lag a bit in the middle. Often, I'll be able to grab what I need before the trunk is even done opening, and at that point I have to sit and wait for it to finish because hitting the button before it's done will just yield a bunch of beeping.
So is it just my car, or do the newer S's just have slower trunks?
Another thing I noticed is the ability to hold the button down to sort of lock the trunk in a partially open position seems to be gone?
