Trunk shocks conflict with trunk seal

This weekend while load banking a generator using my Tesla as a load source I realized that the gas shocks on the trunk lid conflict with the gasket seal of the trunk.

It is not causing any issues at the moment, but clearly over time it will abrade. Do all Model 3’s do this?

I did have the trunk open and in the sun for over an hour perhaps, so maybe it is a heat related tolerance issue? I have not checked now that it is colder out.

Some of the gas shocks can be removed and flipped around so the piston is up at the top instead of the body. It might be worth a try on one side to see if it fits. Tt's pretty easy to pull the clip, remove from the ball end, and then flip around.
