Trunk won’t close

Hi, I just bought a model 3 yesterday and last night we came home and all of a sudden the trunk wouldn’t close. We later realized that the trunk was getting stuck on the plastic piece that is on the light. How can I realign this?

It’s new and we did schedule a repair. The shop is pretty far from my house though and I was hoping I could figure something out at home.

Well, it's hard to see what is going on in your pics, but, I had something that sounds similar happen one day. When I closed the trunk, it was hitting on the plastic light on the right side. The light "on the lid" was moving. I just moved it back into place and closed the trunk.
