Turn off Autosteer chime?

Is there any way to turn off the Autosteer chime? It drives my wife crazy when I'm changing lanes on the highway and it continually chimes every time it disengages/reengages.

Our other older cars allow Autosteer to remain active when changing lanes so I don't understand why Tesla can't provide this basic function...unless they limit it in an attempt to push people to FSD.

Select Autopilot from the Command Screen. Scroll the page up to see the options out of view at the bottom, and you will see chimes you can turn off. I think you want Traffic Aware Chimes, but you may want to turn them all off.

I think the OP is describing situation that if Autosteer is engaged and the user is taking over actual steering then the chime is the thing they want to silence. As others have described this is not possible, you either allow the car to steer or just do not engage it.
