Turned steering while parked near kerb, heard a grind

Hi, I was parked very close to the kerb and I turned the steering to drive away. I heard a grinding sound which is presumably the sound of the tyre pushing against the kerb, and there was some kerb rash.

This has happened a couple of times now. Should I get my Model Y inspected for damage to the tyres or steering?

Depends on how hard the impact was. Likely no damage other than curbing your wheels. If it was a harder hit, changes are your alignment may have been impacted. Wheel have my been bent even if tire was not affected.

Yeah depends on how bad it is. If you post some pics that might help. If it was really bad I would definitely get the tire looked at. Could be a major safety issue if the tire blows out.
