This seems like one of those things that the market will sort out. If you're a creepy bugger you'll get bad reviews.

For women renting this might be a safety concern though, in the same way that you shouldn't share your jogging GPS track on facebook.

I agree with that statement. My fiance had to meet a guy at the airport. I was at ease once he said he was coming with his family, which was correct. Regardless our car has pepper spray in both door pockets and she conceals a firearm that she is well trained with.

Nice thing about meeting people at the airport. They've already been screened for weapons and there's tons of security.
