    Yep, me again, continuing stupid-questions-week...

Trying to figure out the option for twin-charger and if that is of any value if you're not planning to get the high power wall connector? Are twins necessary to make use of the Tesla network of superchargers?

NO! Two onboard chargers are not necessary for Supercharger access

The value is they permit higher charge rates at public HPC's that support the higher charge rates. AFAIK, the network of superchargers will be DC voltage thus bypassing the on-board charger(s) altogether. From a post on another thread, it appears Tesla is most likely going to support adding a 2nd charger at a later time if you only elect to get the standard configuration. Nothing in writing at this time though.

I plan on getting just one as it shaves $1,500 off the purchase price.

I see Lloyd answered quicker and more to the point.

Yeah, but I appreciated the extra input. Thanks.
