I believe that a two door electric car, resembling a Nissan Altima or Honda Civic Coupe, would offer another attractive, fast, and sporty vehicle from Tesla. I also believe this vehicle's range would benefit from the weight of only two people. Anybody else had a similar vision?

I do. Go to the "lightweight & different thread"... I had Tata Steel taken a look at it. On the basis of high-strength steel they came to a conservative estimate of 650 kg, approx. 1430 lbs. Use of lightweight materials could further reduce weight. Bonus: with its three-passenger capacity, it still weighs considerably less than your typical compact hatchback.

I retain some hope that a Tesla Model ≡ P135D Coupe with Falcon Wing Doors may be mine sometime in 2019.
