Two Model 3 changes - Beginning of June

So Model Y is in the parts catalog now-

That's the center console parts.

Parts 15 and 16 are the Console Wireless Phone Dock Bar and Console Inductive Phone Charger.

And they're listed as both Model Y and Model 3 parts.

That's Model 3 center console

It shows the same 2 parts- and also shows the older parts being replaced- "Console phone dock bar" and "Console phone dock premium mat"

So they can simply stop having to keep supplying and stocking BOTH parts at the factory- and move to a single part for each that is used in both vehicles.

I don't have access to the Parts Catalog,
but I wonder if you can find the part number for the Model 3 Tow Hitch rear bumper bracket provided as option in Europe.
Idem also for the Model Y Tow Hitch rear bumper bracket now available in US.

Thanks - so, I can not access the catalog. Are those parts different than the Tesla add on wireless charger for the Model 3 now? If so, how and will we be able to order those soon. I am purchasing a demo Model 3 LR AWD this week for about $1700 off the msrp, so I don’t think it would be worth it to order a June made car for the wireless and USB-C. Agree?

Model 3 Wireless Phone Charger

Yes, it is different because it uses a single USB-C connection for power instead of two USB-A connections.

I don’t get the need for wireless charging? I have it on my BMW and wireless charging seems so much slower than using a USB slot or fast charging in the lighter slot. Is Tesla somehow different?

Why do you need to fast charge on a wireless pad? A wireless pad is just there to slowly charge your phone so it doesn't drain. You don't want to fast charge your phone constantly.

I wonder if the "MY USB HUB FRONT" is the new USB-C version. The attached screenshot is from the Model3 parts page. MY = Model Y?

I also wonder if it is as simple as replacing that one part to upgrade older cars. USB-C should be much faster charging.

My latest Model 3 is supposed to be ready June 10th so I'm sure my build date is right on the fence. If I had to guess it's prior to the switch over.

I have a call in to my SA to find out. But as I already have a VIN assigned I don't think it's worth refusing only to get a later build for such a minor change.

The one thing that has me questioning this is not actually happening yet is that the Model 3 order page make no mention of included wireless charger or USB-C ports.

Not that the website isn't out of date, or that Tesla wants to move through stock before updating website to avoid a flood of calls on the issue.
