Looks awesome and as many have stated, very close to Sig Red. Is this soft like a film? I've got PPF on my car as we get a lot of stones here but don't want to get a bunch of paint nicks if I used it on the next Tesla..

So when are you gonna be at foxhills mall again lol. I might as well see this thing in person!

Lol, I go there almost everyday to work out at Golds gym, food, shopping etc. was there early am today. I was out on a international travel last week, but starting from today you should spot a Burgundy Model 3 :)

It feels exactly like a paint, because it is paint :) It it amazing how resilient it is to rock chips and other environment conditions, I trust this lot more than OEM paint, now that I have it on two cars and have seen it first hand driven more than 15,000 miles.

This is just jaw dropping! I'll be getting my P3D in June. Would love to do this. Maybe slightly different red. Mind if I bite your style? Haha! I'm in Nor-cal. Can you PM me the shop name? I'd bring the car to LA to do this to be sure it would turn out like yours.

Question: Does this have to be done ASAP after taking delivery? Is it an issue if I've been driving the car for a few months before doing this process? Does it matter what the original color of the vehicle is?

No, it can be done at any time.

Does it matter what the original color of the vehicle is?

Yes, and no.. If you pay a bit more to have all the door jams done, then the original color won't show at all. If you skip the door jams, of course it will show when you open the doors. But in my case (see below), the original color was dark blue, and it really doesn't stand out that it's different from the Autoflex Deep Sea Blue. But if my car was originally white or red, it would look pretty bad.

edit: If say your car is multi-coat red and you do the burgundy color scheme, it would probably look OK.

Just got the P3D painted with Burgundy candy autoflex and chrome delete too. The car is straight out of the autoflex job, have not yet done cut and buff nor waxed, will take care of these in the next few weeks. Also the logos are not yet placed back.

This is a great alternate to PPF, not only does it protect the OEM paint but the autoflex coat is also resilient to rock chips and weather conditions. Plus maintenance is a breeze; dirt and debris will easily come off.

That is one sweet color, reminds me of the old Candy Apple red cars from the old days.
