All,
seeing if it's just me. I received my Model Y on July 29, and still haven't received my tags, even though my Delivery Specialist said they'd try to mail them directly to me. My temp tags expired Aug 28, and here I sit. Over the last week, I've been calling, 5-6x a day, trying every extension I can think of, even service, just to find my specialist and find out what's going on...I get a "transferring" and then a voicemail...claiming my call is very important to them. And then the mailbox is full. Sure. I've also texted two people I worked with in July and nobody has responded.

Infuriating. Anyone else having this issue and have you tried something else that worked, short of driving over there? That's my next step but I shouldn't have to drive for two hours in total to reach someone. Ugh!

You can try contacting roadside assistance via the Tesla App. Someone will respond fairly quickly via text message and/or phone to the mobile number registered on your Tesla account. The Roadside Assistance operator will say something like "we do not find any issues with your vehicle, can you provide more information on why your vehicle is inoperable?" Explain that you still need your tags, they should be able to forward your request to the correct POC within Tesla.

I had the same experience today. These days there is no way to talk to a human by calling the service center it seems. I tried calling them even when I had the car in for service and nobody picks up and it gets transferred and then voicemail. It could also be an issue with their phone system or they are taking contactless quite literally :)

Try contacting your Sales Advisor if you had one, mine was able to help me with the paperwork. Also, if your service center also does vehicle deliveries, choose the option for delivery pickup and someone may pick up that line.

You can also try scheduling a new service with the Other option and explain it there. Someone manually reviews these tickets and will reach out to you. It may take a day or two for this though.

My closest Tesla service center also never answers - well, okay, once over a period of two months and dozens of calls. I tried calling roadside assistance, but they just route me back to the service center queue. What finally worked is that luckily a regional manager was filling in for a salesperson when I bought my MY. When I contacted him, he was able to get someone at the service center to call me. Caveat - when the service center guy called, he sounded really annoyed and didn't really answer all of my questions.
