Typing into the Center Console Display

Love it! Never had a problem with voice recognition on my Android devices either.

Well... I deal with Siri every now and then...and I am a bit skittish when it comes to the voice texting idea.

Imagine this scenario....

Your wife/girlfriend texts that she's going to the store..."do you need anything?" she asks. You voice text...."Yes, honey...get me some thumb tacks".
....and she texts back at you..."Why do you want Tampax???".

After using the center console to type up a post just now, I must say I wish it were more like the Swype keyboard on my Android phone.
At least put in some rudimentary things like auto capitalization after punctuation, auto apostrophes, and the ubiquitous tap shift once for single letter capitalization and double tap shift for caps lock.

Typing this post on my phone with Swype and loving it!

I've had the same thought about Swype (which I'm also using to type this! )

FWIW, bluetooth USB keyboards do work. Some of them are a rather compact size, and sort of fit in the center console area.

Really? This is the first I've heard of this. A small keyboard for the passenger to use would be very useful.

My generic with-the-PC Dell keyboard works like a champ -- though the clickity clack is louder than the car. Excellent.

Too bad the mouse doesn't work though.
