Yup, might be too dangerous to drive anywhere, but definitely useful to have a 20,000,000 mAh power bank parked outside to keep your phone charged as needed.

I tried "this one simple trick" too, and it actually worked. I'm reeling that something posted on Facebook didn't turn out to be utter balls.

In a weird reality, I tried this (ok, so I'm bored). Went to the car and checked for updates - nothing.

Changed from Advanced to Standard and back to Advanced - nothing.

Turned off Data Sharing - 2022.4.5 instantly available.

Only a guess but I assume the 2021.44.30 software version is Tesla doing some testing on some sort of new functionality (maybe under the hood so not obvious to the user). If you turn off data sharing, it will stop Tesla being able to capture any data from the trial, hence they bump you to the latest non testing software (2022.4.5).
