New car looks great! Congratulations!

Ps: have you experience the build quality / materials in new Audi’s? It’s awful! VW group on major cost cutting to recoup losses from the emissions scandal. Was going to upgrade the Mrs’ Q3 to the new model, but it’s so cheap inside, and yet 25% increase in price over the new model we bought 4 years ago!

Anyway, I digress, back to Tesla talk!
I agree - my wifes car is an A6 phev and whilst cabin looks beautiful there are horrible scratchy plastics on the doors and dashboard. The latter rattles and definitely cost cutting has taken over. Get this the back doors of an A3 are made of horrible plastics. In my opinion only bmw made luxurious cabins - my X5 a case in point.

Audi Sq5 has always been top drawer. Not sure on the cheaper Audi’s. For me, BMW interiors have looked the same for the past 20 years.

Anyone have this in side pillar and is it normal?

No problem, I assure you it will fix it. Just don’t buy oil based wd40, needs to be silicone!

Don’t give up after one attempt either. Spray it, remove residue and do it a few times. Get that window moving then respray.

Then give it a day, then repeat. It’s just dry rubber seals. All it is. Probably linked to going from 1 climate/humidity to this British climate and humidity.

Thanks it’s great, yes I had noted that on the new Audi’s as as well, my last one was a an A4 all road, which was great and then a golf, which was great for different reasons (great value) but now delighted to go with The M3, and despite my close all with charging today can’t help but think it would have been worse without the supercharger network!

Collected today at 1200 in Glasgow. It was chucking it down, absolutely teeming so couldn’t really inspect the whole car in microscopic detail but ran other the checklist and I have to say the car is perfect in every way.

I took my time to walk through the settings and check everything was ok. Connected my phone as a key perfectly.

I then drove out to the supercharger at eurocentral and charged from the supplied 50% to 70% no idea if I will get billed or not. I was only checking all was well anyway, drove home using cruise control and was blown away by the adaptive element to it.

Drove home, popped in my all weather mats, connected to Wi-Fi and set up YouTube, Netflix and Spotify. Currently listening to my daughters band Uninvited (give their latest single a listen “diet cigarette”). I’m one happy bunny. She is absolutely beautiful.

I’ve connected to my home Podpoint and again no issues, next up is to pop to a local fast charger and make sure all works as it should with CPS (no reason to think it won’t).

Arrived Thursday, a few hours earlier than it was supposed to; whilst the “out for delivery” message nor tracking was sent. I was 45 minutes from home when it arrived, not ideal.

However, top hand over and I’m incredibly impressed with the car, coming from a true petrol head. I’m pleasantly surprised at the quality, coming from BMW/Mercs previously.

First and only thing I’ve done is stick a couple of layers of soft99 Fusso wax over it. I’m already dreading the first stone chips and marks, I love the front end !

It was fun reading this forum for the 2 months prior to collection, and kudos to the work behind shipping movements etc!

Happy driving / space ship flying everyone. 🚀

Spoke too soon, did a proper wash and polish today and have the missing paint issue on the sill as well. Will call Tesla on Monday to log but not too fussed as it is minor and the cars are dipped before they are sprayed so shouldn’t be a rust risk.
