Hey guys, newb here. I’m picking up my model 3 LR today from Bluewater 🤞🏻

Hopefully There’s no snags but do any of you have and advice on what are the main things I need to lookout for when checking the car over? I know of panel gap, issues with the paintwork and some missing usb c ports is there anything else that’s become common?

Any tips would be hugely appreciated.
Let us know how it goes.

Hoping to pick ours up from the same location in Feb.

I think that’s it really. These made in China vehicles are well put together so even panels gaps aren’t as much of a problem as before. Check you have your two charging cables and first aid kit in the boot/bonnet and your front mud flaps are fitted. There should be a USB flash drive plugged into the socket in the glovebox, also in there should be a screen cleaning cloth.

Whoop whoop, collected mine from Trafford Park this afternoon, loads of cars awaiting collection but didn't see anyone else collecting whilst I was there for a good hour and a half.
I gave the car the once over and noted some scratches across the bonnet and n/s wing top. I mentioned it and it was taken for buffing. 10 minutes later it was back so I carried on checking everything, scratches still on wing top. Also the bottom of the o/s front light unit sticks out a good 5mm more than opposite side. Again both were mentioned and car taken away for buffing. Apparently the light unit is within tolerance??

In other news, I have 5 heated seats and wheel, front usb ports and changing pad. The usb is fitted in the globe box so all is good. Oh and 11 miles on the clock

Nervous drive back from Manchester as the motorway was busy, but once settled I started to really enjoy the drive. I think me and this car will get along just fine.

Congrats. I also have a few minor panel gaps which I will leave be. Suspect a fair few cars will be leased and therefore delivered.

I’ve had an update, logged on here to understand what it was? Something about better supercharging speeds. Not sure if this is everyone or just us LR folk.
I want 2021.44.25 now i have seen it.... but havent even had 44.5/6 yet so doubt it'll happen any time soon.

Collected my LR Blue/Black from Trafford Centre this morning. Looks good all round, no USB/wireless charging. Latest rear lamps. 48% SoC on collection. Looks like it's been washed with an old floor mop. Needs some love.
Also needs to play nice with my Podpoint home charge point. Maybe my fault, but at present sucking down on the 3 pin t!t...
Drives like a dream BTW!

Just picked up my M3 from the detailers’ - very please with the result. Paint correction + ceramic coating inside and out inc. wheels. Looks epic, Uber shiny and sooooo smooth to touch. Should stop stains from building up on the white seats hopefully. Oh, and how much better do they look without those awful number plate frames?! Even if you aren’t putting a cherished plate on your car I highly recommend whipping all that nasty black plastic off!

Looking good there @Krisey .

I did the same as you in removing the black number plate frames and it does look a lot better for it. Just a word to the wise though - keep an eye on the front number plate if it is just held on with sticky pads. Mine was a June delivery and during some very hot weather the end pads would let go, doubtless because of the tension the curve forces. Re-applied it a couple of times, but in the end put a couple of screws through into the original mounts.

No problem with the rear though as its flat.

Yeah thanks dude, detailer did say to keep an eye on it, too.

Well what do you know. Got it last night! Went in the car to redo phone key (Deleted app trying to sort issue with no notifications) and whilst i was in there i went to the software menu and it was saying "checking for updates" for ages - normally already says software is up to date so i sat and waited and there she was 2021.44.6 available for install.

Now I just need to wait for the holiday update from Father Muskmas

I can do only guess there must be unlock Tesla push through.
I spoke to Tesla yesterday and someone in tech support said that I should have had my heated rear seats and steering wheel enabled by now. They are checking to see what is going on.

I got 2021.44.6 this morning, but that didn't change anything. Tesla tech confirmed that it isn't enabled via a software update, but by them changing some of the config data for your vehicle, to enable it.
