I've just received a text message telling me a car has been allocated to my order and that the arrival date is being calculated - positive news, so they must be on the move! No VIN yet though.

Same here so seems to be good news. I ordered a SR+ 20th June

Hello. I ordered a M3SR+ in midnight silver on June 23rd 2021 for collection in Glasgow. At the time of order I was verbally told "late August or September" for delivery.

I've just received a text saying "Tesla Update - Great news! A car has now been allocated to your order. Your vehicle arrival date is being calculated. We will be in contact soon to make delivery arrangements..."

No future information is visible on my Tesla account.

One step nearer to getting a car.

Same date as I ordered, same collection place too. However, no text for me

It's interesting my friend ordered a Model 3 a few weeks ago and I've noticed his exact spec showing as available from inventory today (in transit - less than 50 miles odometer) yet he hasn't had a message to say a car has been allocated to his order.

I would have assumed they'd have matched his order to that VIN rather than it going for sale as inventory?

Just discovered I've been assigned a VIN!!!

No text and it doesn't appear anywhere on my account page, but I refreshed my account page and it appeared within the "Tesla Vin Finder" Google Chrome extension. I won't get too excited just yet

is what I should be looking for? (I starred out the rest of the VIN).

For people that have VIN's now what sort of numbers are you getting at the end of them as far as i'm aware the last 6 digits represent like a serial number. My Inventory car scheduled for delivery in 3 weeks ends in 29****

Yeah thats a VIN, so you do have a car allocated

If our numbers are similar, I'll hold out hope that I get mine in 3 weeks, too!

More precisely mine is 2982** and i'm on the assumption mine is on PAGNA given it's delivery date so that you would of thought would put you on that too so a chance of a August delivery maybe

I was under the impression the last 6 digits are basically the numer of the line as in yours is the 3120** made in that factory i think

I know, i honestly don't think i'll get it that day, just because it is so close to the expected arrival time of the ship, but it'll be early september but at least that'll be a nice birthday present to myself

There is a page in this forum that decodes VIN. I don’t remember where it is now as time passes you lose interest in VIN decoders etc.,But I understand your excitement. I have a link from another site, check this: Check your Tesla VIN to see what model it is likely to be
