Hi Folks,

Long time lurker here - following this with keen eyes!

I placed my M3 LR order on 12/12/20 and have been keenly checking delivery ETA - currently 20/02/21 as it stands. A friend ordered the exact same car spec in a different colour on the same day through the same method and collected his just before Xmas so I must have drawn the short straw!

Went with the blue metallic + Black interior + 18" Aeros - friends was the same but in midnight silver.

Home charger install happening on 8th Feb - can you tell im excited???

It's a good idea to have a car available to check the charger/car interface works while the installer is there (maybe your friend would call by) & it's a shame you may not be using part of the charger warranty period. Could you delay the installation & use the supplied UMC charger for a few weeks?

I hope Tesla are able to honour the 30/02/21 delivery date.

Like Australia, appears UK configurator has updated and is suggesting Made in China production (new door trims shown).

Also white interior now on the SR+ which I think is new for UK and option of 19" rims.

Appears LFP batteries. WLTP range increase from 254m to 278m (in AU NEDC range went from 490 to 508km)

After wanting a Tesla since seeing the first car announced, I finally placed an order on Monday (11/01/21) for a red Model 3 LR with tow hitch.
The website said that delivery estimate was February, but the sales person I was talking to said that he would try and make sure that I got it before then end of March.
I’ve ordered a home charger to be installed, that has at least a 6 week lead time, but I am sure I won’t have the car by then anyway.

A little nervous about my drivers licence as the expiration date on it says June last year and the Delivery Specialist advised me to try and get it renewed before my collection date. Unfortunately my passport also expired last year, so I can’t apply for a driving licence online and paper applications are taking a long time right now. Hoping to get a passport renewal through and then a driving licence one immediately afterwards, before I collect the car!

Just been through similar with the DVLA. Has your licence actually expired or just the photo? The dates on the rear will tell you when your licence is valid until.

You can renew your photo on your licence without a valid passport but you need to get a passport photo, if your passport was still valid then they'd use your existing passport photo. As I didn't have a British passport for my application and it's not the best of circumstances to be leaving the house right now, the DVLA told me not to bother renewing at present.

You'll need a paper form from the DVLA though.

Just the photo has expired, but the DVLA extended all licences that were due to expire between Feb and Dec last year for 11 months, due to the pandemic, which is why I hadn’t renewed it. The DVLA website would not let me renew the photo online because my passport had expired. I would have to go to the post office to get a paper form and send it off with a passport photo if I wanted to renew my driving licence without doing my passport, but somewhere on the site it said it might take more than 2 months to get processed by the paper route.

The delivery specialist told me to renew because she thought that the finance company would not accept the expired licence, even though it is technically valid until May. I actually phoned the finance company who said that their policy would be to accept it, but it was down to the dealer.

Hello, would be useful to get everyone’s order / delivery ETA for 2021 deliveries, mine is as per below:

- Model 3 Performance, Blue with White Interior
- Order acknowledged (account set-up) by Tesla 24th December 2020, RN received 6th January 2021 and order confirmed by Tusker/Tesla.
- Delivery ETA May 2021 (confirmed by Tesla and Tusker today)

Anyone else??

White Model 3 LR black interior and standard 18” wheels with tow hitch ordered by Lex Autolease on 24th Dec, confirmed with RN number on 29th Dec. Still not allocated, so not in Glovis Captain... Was told 7th March when confirmed but Tesla today said that expecting LRs coming end Feb. So no chance of getting it earlier for when I had a few days off in Feb... never mind...

I ordered M3LR in December and declined the in stock cars being assigned to me as I couldn’t collect at short notice. Assume I’ll be automatically assigned one of the ones on these boats.

I’ve got a car coming to me by home delivery (was originally scheduled for pick up at Staines) but I have a trade in. Do they collect the trade in too (it’s another Tesla).

I’ve been on hold to Tesla trying to get an answer - so was just wondering if anyone had done similar?
