Nah, the only blocker would be if you were refused credit. Once approved it gives the account the green light. You'll never get dropped in priority. Everything will spin the same. You'll lose your car if you refuse to pay the nominated amount on time, or reject the car then it'll get assigned to someone else / put on inventory. It was that timing thing I was curious about. I rememeber reading somewhere it needs to be in prior to collection, and @CL65 has probably provided the optimum time to do things. The rest is on Tesla now, when they got me a car I got them their money! ☺️
I notice you are in Kent. Yesterday I discovered there is a car hire firm at Strood who, among other EVs, have Teslas.

By the by, some of the Kentish Town names sound very Hobbit middle - earths - like; Snodland for instance and even Strood. When my father retired, my parents moved from SW London to Tunbridge Wells to be nearer my much older brothers and sisters who had fled to the sticks for more favourable house prices many years before. Nice Town TW - to visit, which is much the way I feel about the bucolic in general; great for holidays.
Oops! Sorry for the digression.

I can live with this. Status of the order won't change, but I guess they'll start to chase when they get the money itch 😆

Good reccomendation, I'll hold for now... and as @jenp said it keeps options open as well.

I'll wait for VIN, and then a delivery confirmation. Money is ready to go, so with the £1 test success, I'm all set here.

Cheers guys 🍻

They shall only get the itch if they factually have the vehicle in place and present for delivery on schedule and not one of those last minute VIN changes or last-minute forced to delay and postponing of delivery dates which do happen from time to time. This way you only pay if Treasury reaches out which means vehicle will be delivered and if they don't have the car prepped for delivery you don't pay them in advance

Wonder if anybody can help.

We’ve found out since ordering that a new salary sacrifice scheme will be available end of June.

With possible delays due to the covid shutdown it looks like we might get the car later than expected and after the scheme becomes available.

Is it possible to get them to take over our order with the RN number or would we need to cancel and reorder?

Interesting. New in what way? How have you currently ordered?

Yes, you can give your salary sacrifice broker/leasing company the RN and they transfer it so you keep your place in the queue. In the same way when personal leasing, you can give your RN number over to them. When they transfer it, Tesla refund you the £200 deposit.

Just picked up car from Tesla service centre after paint correction for swirls. She looks amazing I’m stunned by the difference. Tesla guy told me they don’t do it themselves, there is a specialist detailer who comes in to do these jobs.

I’ll try and take some pics in decent light, these are in the Tesla covered car park.

Dont make payment until 48 hours prior to receiving multiple confirmations of delivery and probably 1-2 calls from Tesla Netherlands (HQ for Tesla Treasury)

What did you need to book to get them to do this? How bad was it initially?

Even in those pictures it looks superb. I am pleased to hear that they bring in a detailer for the work. Enjoy your Black Beauty.

Following on from my comments above and in common with others, it would be interesting and useful to hear about the process of getting Tesla to sort your swirls. I guess you reported the issue within 100 miles and then.....and then....

Following on from yesterdays discussion about whether it was worth pre-conditioning to get extra efficiency I have checked my usage from yesterday and I am now unsure.

I set my charger to pre-condition the Car for half an hour before setting off at 7am so this would be at normal pricing. The car was charged to 100% so any power drawn would just be for the preconditioning and according to Octopus that was 2.993 KWH in that 30 minutes. I have to say that was quite a surprise that it took that much power simply to heat the car and the battery.

At rates of 30p that’s almost a pound which may not be a huge amount of money its a very high proportion of costs if you are mostly charging at 7.5p and makes me question whether the improved efficiency of the battery being a bit warmer is worth it.
@bc1979 I too am on Octopus and Octopus Go Tariff. I see there is another tariff now for 6 hours of 7.5p electric but the SC is higher. What's your thoughts - worth it? Or anyone else come to that :)

Yes, please do keep us informed on the paint correction process.
Also, @ DanielSon How long have you had to wait for your paint correction appointment?
Another six weeks to go!
I got the car 31st of March and logged it a day after but the only available time for the weekend slot was begining of May, but due to them needing to give me a courtesy car they pushed it back to end of May.

I just booked a service issue in the app within the first 100 miles after collection to ensure it’s a “fix new car or I’ll reject”problem rather than an a perceived “existing owner” deprioritised whinge. I do think I benefited from being the last car on the last day of the day of the quarter in terms of them hitting quotas so that reject may have been the difference for someone hitting bonus or not. Bit as I mentioned before I’ve only ever found Tesla to be incredibly helpful.
Honestly the swirls weren’t terrible but it wasn’t difficult to see in direct sunlight (see pics) and this is by far the most expensive vehicle I’ve bought so I wanted it spot on.
