So it seems that my car came without USB cables and I cant seem to ship Jeda USB hub (seems a bit overpriced anyway.

Just got a couple of cables with 90 degree angle plus a hub off amazon

Already had the sentry SSD, that works. Although reviewing videos is a pain and I might go the raspberry PI route if i can re-use the SSD later.

Also god floor mats for £40, they seem decent enough. Might get a boot liner a bit later. Car Mats & Boot Liners | Perfect Tailored Fit | Free Next Day Delivery

And stick on number plates £20, the current ones are pretty horrible. Show Plates | Replacement Number Plates | Pro Plates

I literally have had three deliveries and have about another dozen items now enroute.

All I think I’ve left to buy is :

Memory at budget price that allows all the dash cam recoding etc (haven’t had time to read up on this yet.

Extension lead (heavy duty)which is maybe 3/4 metres long for when I go away to holiday home / in laws and need to charge from 3 pin mains...

Anyone any suggestions ?

For the extension lead this was recommended to me in another thread - I’ll be acquiring one of these soon - various lengths and RCD options available - 13A extension lead BMW, Tesla, Nissan & Jaguar compatible (RCD options)

For dashcam recording the info I’ve seen so far seems to suggest that the best approach is to use a micro SD card housed in a device with a USB connection but I’ve not drilled down to a specific recommendation yet. General advice seems to be that this will be longer lasting than a USB flash drive. I need to sort this out also as I bought a Nomad wireless charger from Abstract Ocean which comes with USB splitters so that I can also connect storage for dashcam recording.

The Tesla M3 USB-A to Lightning one is £14, in stock from Heathrow SC (tried Brooklands, order only) and comes with a different shaped 90 bend.

Hi, for dashcam and sentry I’m using these:

Samsung PRO Endurance 64 GB microSDXC UHS-I U1 Memory Card with Adapter https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07CYFR48N/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_SSYHDb5BA7J4M

So you’d only buy from Amazon themselves? I was about to order the 128GB one via Amazon Prime then noticed it was a reseller in Hong Kong so stopped.

Yes 2 days ago the 128gb was £30.99 so don't bother at £50, there are too many fake memory cards so not worth the risk.

There is this one its only £17. Its not endurance so not entirely designed for constant recording but you'll have at least 1 year warranty with amazon

Yes I’ve just read about counterfeit SD cards so good advice. I’ll wait until it’s back in stock at Amazon. Happy to pay a bit more for the endurance card optimised for continuous recording.

I ordered a Sandisk Ultra 128 on spec for £16 before being pointed out the endurance cards. Too late to cancel so I’ve decided to keep at that price and use for music. I then reordered a 128 Sandisk endurance for £30 and a dual card reader for £10. That way audio read and video read/write stay separate - some evidence too big a video card causes the ‘too slow’ problem so I can still keep big audio. 64 endurance was £10 less and 32 another £10. All memory was Amazon as seller. Hopefully it all works. And come the time I need to replace the endurance I will know better my size requirements.

Just need to find up to date formatting instructions that include ext4?. Iirc v10 may be different locations so will cover all bases in readiness.

Thank you. All working fine?

And do you use the same SD card for both dashcam and sentry. Or do they need to be separate?
Yep, just format and put a folder called TeslaCam on there. Also works fine with the splitter that came with the TapTes wireless phone charging pad, with a USB stick in the second splitter. The TapTes pad is great value I think.
