-- BORROW / BUY--

Does anyone have snow chains I can borrow/buy for Model Y 19in Gemini? Heading out to Switzerland and require a set to be in the car, although I doubt we will need to use as we will have access to local Defender if things start getting snowy!

I'm Cotswolds based and happy to drive/collect (When my MY gets delivered in December!)

Ta.

I'm selling my almost 1 year old Tesla Model 3 in Midnight Silver Metallic with white interior. I had it professionally detailed when new with paint correction and 5 year self healing ceramic coating. Only 7780 miles. Only selling because my new Model Y arrives next week!
Avoid the long waiting times and save £15k off the current list price.
It's the cheapest 71 plate with less than 10k miles in the country!

Full details and pics on Autotrader here...

Very good price for that car. Good luck with the sale.

Hi There,
I bought a spare set of alloys and don't need them anymore.
We did a lot of travel to the Scottish highlands and France, but don't have a need for this "winter set" anymore.

Taken off a working Model X 75D
Fully built wheel, with TPMS valve, and 275 45 R20 Tyre on.
These are OEM rims, and model numbers can been seen in the pictures.

There is 6.7mm tread left on the tyre. Less than 2000 miles.
Package deal, rim, valve, and tyre.
Rim is worth £379, valve £65, Tyre Goodyear Eagle F1 110W £185
each wheel is a £630 value.

I'm selling for £400 per wheel.
I don't think you'll get a better price from Tesla for all this :)

I'll deliver if you're within 100 miles from CM16.

Thanks,

Due to the sale of the last model 3 and the cancellation of my next one, I’m putting these up for sale.

Would prefer to sell them as a full set, but may split at a later date if they don’t go.

Bought from a Tesla last September, and used for about 3 months last winter.

All are in excellent condition with only a tiny bit of wear on the drivers mat.

Collection is from Southport.

£275 for the lot.

We drive to CH a couple of times a year from Edinburgh in our Model 3. You are not actually required to have a set of chains in the car. If roads have the "you must use snow chains to be on this road" sign, then you need to have snow chains on for that road. These are pretty rare signs tbh, even up in the mountains I've only seen a couple.

You definitely need winter tyres though, again it is not the law in CH. However, Switzerland does have a general catch-all law where you need to be "in control of your vehicle". So getting in a crash in winter without winter tyres is not advisable.

Happy to be corrected on the chains piece. We have a few weeks before we drive there :)

Also, if you still want to buy snow chains. They are actually cheaper to buy in CH than the UK.

edit: reduced the number of emoji/smilies. Makes me look weird.
