Does anyone know if Gridserve's new 'Hub' plans include Tesla chargers like they do at Rugby? I'm looking at Wetherby thinking how useful it would be, and note that they have mentioned Wetherby in their plans...
See post #1 in this thread. Some mention Tesla by name, some have similar icons / layout in planning docs that indicate superchargers (and proved on sites like Rugby that had same icons/symbols) and some are based on rumours..

Thank you that's very useful. I do think that once superchargers are ubiquitous in all service stations it will in crease capacity in more ways than the obvious increase in sheer numbers. At the minute I usually have to stop and charge when the battery is still at 50% or higher, in order to make it to a charger further away. If there is a charger in a place where I'll know I'll be down to 20%, I would aim for that and get a much quicker charge as a result, meaning less time spent overall at the chargers.

Ferrybridge services now has Tesla hardware on site. Matt Wrigley from TOUK just sent me these photos as he is on site right now.

Great stuff. Equipment looks like it's being stored at approx (53.698600, -1.265400) - northern end of car park next to a pair of caravan only bays. The last photo is looking west from those bays.

Yep correct. I was stood in the caravan bay when taking the photo I sent to Phil.
Looking on maps and your image above, along with the image I took, the final resting place for the big green box is where the pin is on here.

So we’ll see them probably rowed up along that last row of parking spaces more than likely, which may even give room for further expansion and/or towing SuC spaces!

Alex Rogers also found a planning app which will put a drive Thru Costa in where those caravan spaces currently area. He has marked on where the groundworks for substation are ongoing.

Belfast was down for Q4 2021. Construction hasn’t been spotted anywhere (yet)

I was in the Belfast store for a demo two weeks ago and asked this question, they are getting superchargers there, they don't know when, an issue with planning as they need a longer lease to get permission, they just weren't sure when but they said they were getting them

I had heard the lease issue has been sorted for a while, however there is very little grid capacity at Boucher and it looks like that will take a good while to sort.
I had heard NIE asked the many dealerships on Boucher road if they are likely to require a larger connection to facilitate DC chargers in the future, obviously the answer was yes so it looks like it may require a fairly large project.
I would think a small site elsewhere in Belfast would make sense and certainly not go to waste given the Boucher location and small size, maybe even a few V2 so older cars could still charge.

To be fair, I struggle to understand the reason of putting SC in multistorey car park in middle of Derby.

What's the point!? If you go there for Shopping then you will have to run and re-park car 30 mins (max) later. If you bypassing Derby - then to go to city centre for the charging makes no sense as well.

Super strange decision

Agreed.

I assume it's the only central location they could get hassle free and relatively cheap.

it really makes no sense to have supercharger in city like centre of towns like Derby ;/you have motorway like 10 minutes away :/ it would make more sense for people who are traveling from north, as this is the only SC around.
People without home charging need somewhere local, and aren't going to head onto a motorway to a service station, or if you are going to stay in Derby. Pretty much the same as Westfield White City or Uxbridge, if you were driving along the A40/M40 you wouldn't use either over Park Royal.

13 supercharger bays and a lounge being planned for the new Norwich Service centre according to the map posted by @SB61 here:

I had a look at the Norwich City Council planning website and found a similar map as part of application 21/01218/A but the proposed site plan didn't include the supercharger details.

Some photos of the Norwich SC site today

WELL, that's the point - it is in paid shopping centre parking, In city centre which is not entirely convenient.

dunno, that's my POV
