Charged at Eleveden late last night and the eight new V3 stalls look finished and temporarily fenced off.

All are aligned end on as opposed to flat (existing stalls) & with parking bays 'as normal' to the left. If one additional bay had been added to the (facing) right hand edge then all could be used by multiple brands if/when the network opens up. No apparent foresight for such a minor adaptation which could increase versatility and potentially minimise driver frustration? (....but this is Tesla)
I don't think the aim is to make them convenient to other brands, the aim is for them to be formally 'open' but other brands choose to use other chargers in preference. This seems to be the outcome in France and Netherlands, open SuperChargers but largely being used by just Tesla's.

Summary of changes in UK shown below (based on yesterday's website update).
18 new markers, 7 removed, and of the remainder 13 have been pushed later.

In the ROI, Dublin Sandyford has changed from Q1 to Q2 2022 and a new North Dublin pin (target Q4 2022) has been added.

Adding superchargers to the Reading service centre seems an odd choice. There are already two other supercharging stations in reading with 20 stalls.

I guess maybe they're just wanting to have superchargers available at all their service centres?

To be honest the one place I'd really like to see some is Basingstoke.
There is the fleet northbound supercharger but those are V1, always full (which indicates we need more), and if you're going southbound you're outta luck unless you want to add 20 mins to your journey to do a loopback, or go all the way to Winchester.

Random Nottingham pics aside, it is worth being more specific as there are now two Nottingham Superchargers! The Service Centre (Loughborough Road) has been open a while and Victoria Centre is the new one (that's the Nav name; on Tesla's website it's currently labelled Nottingham City Centre Supercharger). There's a photo of the latter from February on the Superchargers app showing the stalls in the basement car park - in place but taped off. The photo below is from the Victoria Centre website.

Tesla-full-width-image.jpg

I just had a look at the shopping centre website and it looks like you can pre-register for 2 hours free parking while charging. The chargers are located in the Green Zone of the basement car park; nearest access is the Glasshouse Street entrance.

Do you know if idle fees still apply to these? It's in an underground shopping centre car park. 2 hours of fee parking is great, but it'll take considerably less time than that to charge.

Are you expected to either wait in your car and charge then go about your day, or shop nearby then come back to your car and move it before incurring idle fees?

These are v3 superchargers, it'll take about 20 mins from 10-80% charge, yes wait in your car or you might just about have time to go grab a coffee or visit a bathroom. Pretty much the same as any other SuperCharger. In now nearly 3 years of driving a Model 3 I've never had time to achieve anything else while the car is SuperCharging.

I've added the new Tesla map markers which appeared at the end of last week to the wiki post at the start of this thread. A few observations are below.

Coming very soon?
Two new markers have a target opening date this quarter: Reading - Service Center (Tesla's spelling! - already known to be on the cards) and Newport. The Newport marker is at M4 Jct 24 near the Celtic Manor resort and a number of other hotels so looks very plausible and would be an excellent location for supporting travel to/from South Wales.

Service Centres
In addition to Reading, Glasgow Service Centre now has an official marker and Northampton is very close to the new Northampton Service Centre.

Shopping Centres / Retail Parks
The following all appear to refer to shopping centres either due to location or name:
Bromley (The Glades)
Carmarthen (St Catherine's Walk)
London - Wimbledon (Centre Court)
Sheffield (Meadowhall)
Merry Hill (marker location, near Dudley town centre, looks notional but Merry Hill retail park is only a few miles away)
Newark (Maltings Retail Park - confirmed to be under construction)

Other markers that appear to indicate specific locations
Coventry - Judds Lane
(name and location next to the Coventry Building Society Arena)
Brighton Station (marker location looks notional but name suggests the nearby railway station)
Birch Eastbound and Westbound - Moto services that have had markers in the past which have just been reinstated.

Twins
You need to zoom in on the map to separate these markers:
Reading and Reading - Service Center - the former is now assumed to refer to the Moto Reading Westbound services: superchargers are shown on a planning application for the site.
Brighton and Brighton Station - a notional Brighton marker has existed for a long time but the new Brighton Station label is an intriguing addition (see note above).
Birch Eastbound and Westbound (see above)
Swansea (q122) and Swansea (q222) - both of these look like notional locations. The Moto Swansea West service area is a candidate; Gridserve have recently installed high power chargers there. Now there appears to be another candidate site in the area.

Although not new Bournemouth and Ferndown get a mention because Ferndown has been moved north after previously being in an identical location to Bournemouth. They are both roughly equidistant from the new Tesla service centre so one of these markers may be linked with that but it looks like there are other plans afoot in the area.

The rest
Dorking
- planning found for a site at Denbies Wine Estate
Of the newly added markers I think that just leaves Watford, Swansea (both) & Brora which look to be notional locations at this stage (IMO).

Even if Reading Services, Green Park and Reading service centre seems like overkill right now, it won’t last long, these will be overloaded soon enough due to the rate of cars being delivered, so Tesla are just taking whatever sites they can.
Re: Basingstoke, remember that Fleet South is confirmed (by the U.K. Head of Supercharging) to be opening soon so it is not dead in the water. At the same time this could also see an expansion to Northbound of power is made available there too.

The pin drop from the Swindon one has moved, it looks like it might be one of the designer outlet village carparks (which is a shame as I'm ever hopeful for a service centre in Swindon!). Not a great location as it's too far from the M4 and the traffic is often awful round that area.

Good spot; I had a look and noticed that the Swindon marker hyperlink has also been updated (referencing q222 instead of q122).

I went through the other markers and spotted one other marker location change for Newquay which has been moved about 6 miles east. It's still a notional location (now on a farm) although there are a number of holiday parks/resorts nearby. Target opening moved from Q2 to Q3 2022 for this one (Tesla Time).

Atlantic Reach Holidays is very near that point.

There is a rapid and a few 7kW chargers there, so maybe Tesla have come to an agreement with the site owners!

Just paid a visit to Moto services just off jcn 47 in Swansea. The site of a load of relatively new gridserve chargers. The site is suspected location for Tesla superchargers in Q3, but not confirmed. It looks like there are some footings for more chargers, but will they be Teslas? Pics included.

Those bases look a lot more like future expansion of the Gridserve installation than Tesla. Is there any room elsewhere (but near enough to share the power feed) that Tesla could go?

Well there are a few of the older chargers further up, there is plenty of space around that area. Perhaps wait and see what happens. Don't you think it would be strange for gridseve to put relatively new chargers in, then start building more right next door?. You may be right though.

They are likely just laying cables for future expansion without needing to spend on the charging hardware now. Even a 12 bay site like Rugby is regularly full so provisioning for easy (cheap) expansion is smart.

Further to @arg 's comments, Gridserve indicated in their February announcement about opening their Swansea high power charging hub that they planned to expand it:

"The advanced Electric Hub, part of the GRIDSERVE Electric Highway – one of the UK’s leading EV charging networks – initially hosts six 350kW high-power EV charge points, with the ability to quickly add a further six high-power chargers as soon as they are required."

confirming the footings will be for more of their HP chargers.

Tesla do have two "coming soon" markers for Swansea so they might have something in the wings for the M4 Moto service area. Gridserve and Tesla don't appear to be working in tandem despite having both chargers alongside each other in planning docs for other Moto service areas. Plans seem to have changed at Wetherby and Thurrock, for example, where Gridserve units/footings have been placed in a different layout to the planning application drawings. These plans were submitted before Gridserve took over the Electric Highway from Ecotricity so that might be a factor.

Has Fleet South been reconfirmed? As far as I know it was cancelled in the end which is a shame. Not sure if there's been a 180 on that.

Fleet North has an additional few stalls currently covered up that should hopefully come online at somepoint, but it doesn't really help those going north as it adds a good 15 mins onto the journey to double back on yourself

Yes, Fleet South is definitely going to open and fairly soon. Source: Head of Supercharging U.K./Ireland at Tesla. It was never cancelled (they would have removed the hardware if it was) but it definitely got mothballed for a looooonnnggg time!
If this is due to making the breakthrough with power then it might also mean Fleet North also sees the covered stalls being opened. But the presence of the motorway between the two sites might mean the power supplies are completely different, we will have to see what happens.
