Hi All,

I am hoping to take advantage of the geographic spread and collective knowledge of this forum if i may please. I am trying to compile a list of What3Words locations of Tesla Superchargers, I did a search of the forums to see if something already existed but my search did not bring anything to fruition.

On Facebook groups you regularly see people looking for a SuC - you know how the posts go "I am at [Location] trying to find the superchargers but they are not signposted and i cannot find them". Therefore I thought having an inventory for What 3Words would be beneficial for owners so that there is a far more precise location of where to find superchargers.

The locations are listed below and I will add them to the list as and when I can and you lovely lot provide them.

TBH the 11 different site's I've visited I've not had a problem locating using the the cars navigation
Yes, the car takes you directly there! Occasionally there will be a routing issue such as at Tebay northbound on M6 (chargers are in southbound services section) where the navigation tries to take you off the motorway before the services and drive through the countryside. Whether W3W would be of any benefit there I don't know ... you would still need to know that there was a service road access between north and southbound service areas for Tesla drivers (and hotel guests).

these are the situations I am thinking of. Even if they are few and far between surely the it’s better to have an alternative?

But 3 words doesn’t know that there is a legal service route between the services any more than the Tesla nav. Tesla knows exactly where the Superchargers are already and will take you there accurately even if by an unnecessary route.

There will of course be many different phrases for each supercharger location. Each bay itself will have at least 2 covering each one.
I did think about this, but as they are all lined up (generally) the location for one should direct you to them all.
Just to clarify:

Winchester Norton park is ///napkins.loom.cobras

Winchester (coming soon) is ///originate.gurgled.generals

Amesbury ///nimbly.swanky.manicured
Thanks MrM - although sadly I had failed to realise that after a set time period I cannot edit my original post 🤦🏻‍♂️

The issues people often have is that superchargers are on a different level of a multi-storey, the route to them or physical access, none of which will be helped, the location pins on the maps are pretty accurate. Sadly I also can’t support what3words for a number of reasons.

Tesla should really do this on their website and site info in-car. I once drove for 15minutes around Rennes,France shopping centre carpark before I realised they'd hidden it behind a hotel on the oppositte side of the road!!! The in-car map obviously going off a postcode was not accurate and made me think it was in the big carpark!

I have always found the PIN was accurate in car's SatNav. Navigating there in a French Aire, with various one way lanes going this-and-that way, and mixing, but separated, traffic from the other direction, can make it hard to find a route to them on the SatNav map, but the PIN has always been right.

So I reckon if the PIN is wrong then that's a bug and telling Tesla will, hopefully, get it fixed.

If the Stalls are not where expected then PlugShare, or similar, might have a more accurate location.
