It was previously subtle and blended in well with the rest of the UI - now as you say; it's more notable and annoying!

it did change with speed before but it was a very faint grey, it stopped changing when TACC was activated and then the little + - appeared when using the scroll wheels to alter cruising speed, probably still does but i've not driven anywhere yet to try it

Yep ... changes with the scroll wheel as before.

they're looking at being able to add car controls to the dock

I don't see why they couldn't throw in driver profile options as a card like the seatbelt popup, wipers, etc etc. when you get into the car, then hide them once you start driving, if they really wanted to hide them and have a clean system

Yes they've said they'll look into adding functions to the app selector at the bottom according to Will on TeslaUK club.

Just came here to see if anyone else had it. It's also been driving me crazy. TACC not even set & it's acting like an annoying 2nd speedo.

If it is very annoying just undo full self drive visualisation preview in autopilot. You don’t see that after this

I think it's fine. It's telling what the max speed you'd get if you activated TAAC/Autopilot.

Yeah, which means it acts like a second speedo with a slight lag - which is somehow even more annoying

Unless I'm mistaken it's always been like that ever since the option to use speed limit or current speed.

It was added in v10 IIRC.. but it was more unobtrusive (clearly, as some are only noticing it now).

However then it fitted in with all the other icons, being a number in a red circle. The current one looks slapped on as an afterthought IMO.

Sorry I am not in the group of 'we''ll have the radio on' while browsing a better song. And even you shouldn't be doing it because that distracts driving!

I don't think it is a genius change but that's how smart phone users are used to. When I switch from spotify to another app spotify does go off as soon as I open Tunein etc., Few just want the old UI system without any change to things they like in the old UI and that is expected.

I’ve got no idea what smartphone you’re using but this is categorically not what happens on iOS. The previous audio continues to play until another app plays audio itself. It does not stop upon merely opening a new app.

I am using iOS too. I think this has nothing to do with Tesla even in iOS if you are switching from spotify to radio or apple music you will continue to hear the music. But do it other way the music will stop as soon as you open the other app. Spotify is the only player at the moment that has that option of continue to play till you choose another song in another app.
