I think existing orders would still get the UMC included for free
Charging at home got a lot more expensive for future Tesla owners

Huh, I never would have thought the UMC cost more than the Wall Connector.
I think not including the UMC is a mis-step by Tesla.
Glad I got both of mine for free back in 2019.

Agreed, I think the cars should be able to charge at home without an extra cost

I would gladly sell my UMC kit for anyone interested... six month old never used as I have Wall charger at home.

I see this as unlikely to happen in New Zealand, if Elon's claim about "low usage stats" are correct.

In the US, charging via a standard 110v outlet is almost useless. Most have to have an electrician come in and install a 240v line near the car for charging so many just go with a Wall Connector.

Here in New Zealand, our standard outlet plug is more than enough for many people charging their car so most people use the UMC.
