Morning all. New M3SR here. Yesterday took our first 'road trip' and when I tried to send a text I received a message that the system software of my phone is not the correct version to do this. I searched the threads and forums online and it seems to be a problem for some people. They have the same 'error' message I do, even going back a year or so. I have a new Pixel 5 with the latest Android operating system.
Ideas?
Thanks.

Model S just upgraded to MCU2. Text worked fine with mcu1.
Same message as you. I did delete on both MCU2 and phone the Bluetooth connection. Rebooted my phone for good measures. Then repaired. Now I don’t get that message but it’s not working well yet. For contact that are unequivocally recognized, screen with text menu starts as it should but then exits immediately. For contacts not unequivocally recognized, it asks me which one I want to text, and then goes to the usual text menu and “works”.
So definitely not great yet.
hope this somehow helps you
