Unattended service pickup

Has anyone ever had issues doing a unattended service pickup before? I dropped my car off to be serviced and got a call that it was ready around 5:15pm.

The rep on the phone said they will put my car outside the service center on street parking and to come grab it when I have a chance.

I just got to the service center and my car is still inside and no one is here and won't be here until Tuesday.

Hmmm, I suggest you send an email to [email protected]. Maybe someone is monitoring that email and can help you pickup the car.

Yes, the Tesla employee who forgot to put my car outside drove it to my house and even gave me a water melon.

Wow. How did they know? How did you contact someone so they knew you had a problem? I hope its an avenue that someone else could use in case it happens again - to someone else.

I left a voice mail for the service center at night when I tried to pickup my car. The following morning the Tesla rep who was helping called my cell from his personal phone.

Not sure if he heard the message or if he just remembered he forgot to put my car outside.
