Uncorked X100D

Wouldn’t it be uncorked from factory with a build date of 11/2017?

Exactly. I wasn’t aware mine even needed to be uncorked given the build date. That’s what’s odd here. I’m getting 75D uncorked time or rather the old 100D time.

Is there a way for them to check at SC what DU I have? It should’ve been an updated one during that production timeline but I’m not seeing those numbers.

Yeah that's weird. I would have expected a Nov 2017 build date to be uncorked. In any event, your numbers don't add up (evidence points towards uncorked). Definitely call your SC and discuss. If you're nice, they may even send a technician to you for a fix.

Why it wasn't isn't for me to answer but I gave my runlogs to @Krash which has included in his tracker. You can see the before/after.

Upgraded performance Metrics Summary

Ok my bad. got some updated kW on powertools after mashing it a bit more to warm her up. Perhaps the external temp outside today kept the battery from warming up enough.

0-99.9kph :

404kw - 5.2 sec
401kw- 5.2 sec
404kw - 5.0 sec
406kw - 5.0 sec
404kw - 5.1 sec

By now battery is down to 60%. Can I assume at 90-100% and an external temp of around 67-70F, this will improve?

So 0-60mph is actually 96.56kph.
If I calculate correctly, my numbers 0-60mph should then be:

5.02
5.02
4.83
4.83
4.92

Straight line road. Low wind. So I guess this is accurate? I thought X100D’s were now the 4.5/4.6 sec range?

The 75D still clocks 0-100kph 5.2-5.25 sec. Same temp, same road. I’m only .1-.2 off.

Fastest 0-60 I've seen is 4.78s. But honestly, who cares?

It wasn’t abt making a record speed lol.
I’ve had an SP100D on a short term lease so not abt making MX a speed demon or an overpowered, brain fog machine lol. Just want to ensure I got what I paid for :)

Thx for input guys.

I think I mentioned above that I was able to uncork my vehicle with a phone call to Tesla (either the main number, or the service centre on Lawrence, cannot remember). I was told that some can be done without a visit, and mine was one of them (VIN 48###). Anyway, after reading this thread yesterday, I decided to test my 0-100kph.

Notes:
Model X 100D
I did the test only once
Flat, paved road
Nokian tires on 19" winter rims (Tesla winter package)
"Cold" battery, but ambient temperature in my garage was about 14C
Awkward stop button press on my watch, probably 1/10 second late
Actual final speed was 103kph

So, this is a worst case scenario value: 0-103kph in 4.47s. I am guessing that if everything had been done perfectly, the 0-100kph time would have been somewhere between 4.30 and 4.35s.

I hope this was of use to somebody. :)

Can you see your peak wattage? (kW)

Totally. It means my 100D vin 75xxx is behaving like a 75D. I saw at best 5.0 sec.

Was your battery charged up fully?
That’s better than the 4.5 Tesla posted.

Hey Navsarin. See the table in the image below. The top line was this trip. An SOC of 40 means 40%, which on a 100D means 40kWh. So, at a 475km range, that means about 190km left. See graphic below. Right as I got off the island, I did this test:

Screen cap from my Apple Watch. Obviously this doesn't make it real, but just so you know I am at least remembering correctly, assuming that I'm not just making it all up! :) Note that the time 1:20 is because I screen capped this stopwatch screen today at that time, as I did not reset it yesterday.

Good question. Where would I find that? On the trip meter page? My real-time tracking doesn't appear to track this. I have an "Auxilliary Load" value of 0.13kW, and 2.28kWh used for my 10.7km trip, but I don't think that's going to help answer your question.

So here’s a few of my results from powertools:

5.2 was yesterday in colder weather with 60% battery

5.7 was today in warmer weather with 80%! Ridiculous.

Same road. Same dry conditions.☹️

Definitely something not right. SC confirmed this morning mine is uncorked. That’s not what I’m seeing.

Same road. Same dry conditions.☹️

Yes, it’s FleetCarma. Works great. I’ll be posting a video soon on my Tesla YouTube channel. If you’re interested, please subscribe and stay tuned. I’d appreciate your support, and would be happy to test whatever you’d like.

Not quite sure actually. My old mod S had this big wattmeter in center of screen, but when I think of it I haven't found it in my AP2.5 X100D.
